The globe is made from iron and has a segmented design created by the vertical lines that intersect the thin wire. It’s contained within an arcing iron axis with a round finial at each end. The globe’s wireframe design offers a tactile experience when the globe is spun. A stepped plinth supports the axis, and is mounted on to a thick round slab of genuine white marble.
